A Book Review:
"Confessions of a Shopaholic"
Millions of readers have no doubt to adore the New York Times best-selling author Sophie Kinsella’s. Her famous book that release in 2000 have really impress many people.
Rebecca Bloomwood as the main character- a shopaholic young woman with a big heart, big dreams and just a little weakness – has really important role in this book. Rebecca or Becky stays in a fabulous flat with her flatmate and also her patient best friend ever, Suze. Her job writing at Successful Saving is getting bores and if it compare with her expenses it does not pay much at all. Her live is full of enjoyment and happiness until Becky has to face all that endless letters from the bank, letters with large red sum she can’t bear to read. She tries to run away but as many calls and letters comes to her it getting harder to ignore.
She tries to do cutting back and make more money but none of her effort has succeeds and as she getting depressed she try to entertain herself by go to nearest shop and buy herself something.. just a little something..
Sophie Kinsella has brilliantly tapped a story that has communicative and simple style which can easy to understand. Using creative story tell the reader about how a girl that has obsession in shopping can solve her problems with the bank or peoples that she has lied to. Bring the reader involve in the story and feel the sense of high desire of owned something. And recommended for teenager and adult who want to laugh and cry at the same times. Beside the story about Becky's hilarious schemes to pay back her debts are as endearing as they are desperate. Her "confessions" are the perfect pick-me-up when life is hanging in the (bank) balance.
This novel is also has a lot of moral message, be wise and think about the differentiations between what you need and what you want. When you have problems do not run away but you have to face it and solve it before it caused another problems and the most important is do not beguile anyone include yourself.
